JOHN McKENZIE MEMORIAL.
PRIME MINISTER'S INTEREST. "TAKE LAND, IF NECESSARY." (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. A deputation from the Gaelic Society waited on Sir Joseph Ward to thank him for what he had done in regard to the erection of the Sir John McKenzie Cairn at Mount Puketepu. Sir Joseph said he hoped to be present to unveil the cairn when it was completed. He had instructed the Lands Department to acquire the necessary land, or, if it could not acquire it, to take it.
