Bishop Bennett's work was not confined to this district, but his diocese covered all New Zealand, and his services .were available to all the bishops, for native work. Conferences have taken place on the subject of appointing, a pakeha-curate for the district. The Rev. Temuera Is a missionary to the Maoris, but also.holOs tne English services.
