GAINED HIS LIBERTY.
AVONDALE MENTAL PATIENT. About six o'clock last evening a male patient wandered away from the Auckland Mental Hospital, and so far has not been traced. The man was aged 60, was sft 9in in height and heavily built. He has a dark complexion and black bushy beard. He was wearing a faded tweed suit and heavy boot*. The man was allowed a certain amount of liberty, and was walking about in the grounds before he disappeared.
