AMERICA MISREPRESENTED. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) ' WASHINGTON, May 5. J; is stated that the President, Mr. Herbert Hoover, is displeased with reports to the effect that the United States Government has changed its attitude on the question of a reduction of naval armaments because of recent developments at Geneva. It is understood he regards these reports as havin<* been circulated for mischievous pur° poses. Officials reiterate that the Government lias not abandoned its position in regard to reduction.
