TRAINING NOTES.
NEW PLYMOUTH AND HAWERA. NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The New Plymouth track was slightly slow on Saturday. Polyphemus beat Royal Mint over six furlongs in 1.22. Bonogne and Anola were only given a working gallop. Horomea and Singer ran three furlongs nicely. Hipo and Lady Quex covered four furlongs in 525. Oration beat Valkon over four furlongs in 525. At Hawera the track was good. Vivo ran four furlongs in 55 l-ss, doing it well. Havering ran half a mile in 53is. Calamine was ahead of Paitonu over seven furlongs in 1.30—a good gallop. Bisox, Clover Leaf and Mendip finished in that order at the end of a mile in 1.55. Tenacre and Orazone ran seven furlongs in 1.37 A. . Bione. Golden Flower and Animated covered five furlongs in I.S. Boundary beat Richfield over four furlongs in 52 2-ss—the best gallop of the morning over the distance. Cool Mint ran six furlongs in 1.21 l-o. Euphonium covered three furlongs in 38is. 11 Airtight jumped two brush fences well.
