The Manunui Homing Pigeon Club continued its north programme with a race from Newmarket for a bronze vase donated bv Messrs McPherson and Fifield. to be won' twice in succession or three times at. intervals. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster in fine weather, and results were a win for Mr. D. Wilsons Meally Boy by a narrow margin. Results: Mr. D. Wilson's Meally Boy, 1005.2 yds 1 Mr R. Patterson's Wee Olga. lOOo.lyd* 2 Mr. J. Whittaker's Concentrate, 1001.2 yds ° Mr. P. Andrews' Gee Whiz, 10.88.Syds; Mr j. Langwell's Loch Moigh, 082 yds. Next week the club will fly from Levin for Mr. T. P. Jones' two trophies.
