Mr. and Mrs. Robetrson, who have been staving at Beach House, Milford, for some weeks, are leaving Auckland by the Aorangi on Tuesday. # * * *
Mrs. J. B. Parkinson and Miss Ida Parkinson, Pencarrow Avenue, Mt. Eden, are leaving on the Aorangi for a holiday trip to Honolulu.
Miss Colegrove, principal of Myers Kindergarten, left by the express last evening for Christcliurch, where she will attend the Kindergarten Conference.
Mr. G. Herbert, Royal Oak, president of the Auckland Toy Dog Club, was the recipient of a handsome tantalus presented by members of that very active and enthusiastic club at last Saturday's ribbon parade. Mrs. Cowley, who made the presentation, spoke in eulogistic terms of the club's success.
Miss Winifred Purnell, who, it will bo remembered, acquitted herself with such distinction in her performance of Tschaikowsky's B flat minor concerto with the Bohemian Orchestra, just before she left for her European concert tour, is doing remarkably well in America, and recently gave a recital in New York, which was highly spoken of. During the next few months the pianist is booked for towns, in Berlin and other musical centres in Europe, after which she plays in Australia and concludes her tour in New Zealand.
