MUNICIPAL MILK SUPPLY.
LABOUR SCHEME CHECKED,
RATEPAYERS' VIEWS SHOW*,'.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, this day,
Even if the Labour party secures a majority on the new City Council, it is considered very unlikely that the proposal for the municipalisation of the milk supply will be gone on with. The policy of the Labour party towards the milk question in future will probably be to secure an improvement of the supply without attempting to embark on a big municipalisation scheme. The chief reason for this change of front is that the citizens of Christcliurch, by their votes last Wednesday, appear to have indicated quite plainly that they do not'want municipalisation in any circumstances.
