MATERIAL ALTERATIONS. ! ONE CANDIDATE DISPLACED. ( •; Owing to a miscount in one of the booths, Mr. J. Powell failed to receive 79: votes cast in his favour as a candidate for Borough Council, with, the result that he was shown among the unsuccessful. However, the official count gave liim his rightful place among the new councillors, and displaced Mr. C. P.ijLock, who stood 13 votes above Mr. Powell on. the preliminary count.
