SERVICE SUBSIDIES. African Administrations' Ready Response. PROJECTED MAIL ROUTES. (British Official "Wireless.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, May 2. Sir Samuel Hoare, Secretary for Air, stated in the House of Commons that the Government of Southern Rhodesia had signified their willing- | ness to arrange for a contribution of £10.000 yearly for a period of five years towards the cost of the projected air service between this country and South Africa. The South African Government had undertaken to provide a substantial portion of the required subsidy, and offers to contribute had also been received from the administrations of Sudan. Kenya, Tanganyika and Uganda. As the result of the ready co-opera-tion on the part of the administrations mentioned the finances of the service were assured. The Minister also stated that the airship RIOO was expected to be ready for trial by about the end of Alay and the P.lOl about the end of June.
