COUNTERSIGN RICKED. WHARNCLIFFE MAY NOT COME NORTH. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") DUNEDIN, this day. It is understood Countersign will not fulfil her engagement at Oamaru. She ricked herself a few days ago, and liad to be eased up in her work. Solgele will have the services of C. Emerson in the saddle at Oainaru. It is reported that Caterpillar lyis developed lameness and will not be seen out at Oainaru. Wliarncliffe rapped one of his knees whilst schooling recently, and unless he makes a good recovery will not be sent to the North Island.
