CLUB AT KAIKOHE. FORMATION AND RACE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) KAIKOHE. this d;<y. At a meeting attended by a large number of enthusiastic cyclists, held in Dicksou's Hall last week. ir. was resolved _to form a club for cycle road racing in Kaikolic, when a committee was appointed to draft rules for the club. Mr. W. Bell was elected temporary secretary. The adjourned meeting was resumed on Tuesday, when the rules presented by the committee were adopted. The'following officers were then elected : Patron. Mr. A. Admore ; president. Mr. Wm. J. Worthington: vicepresidouts, Messrs. H. Admore. F. King. W. Roberts. G. Williamson. H. Wilson ; secretary. Mr. W. Bell; treasurer and handi'capper, Mr. C. Garmonsway : committee, Messrs. H. Admore. Rev. E. Panapa. H. R. Vaile. li. Wilson, with president, secretary and treasurer; starters. Messrs. H. Admore and H. Wilson : timekeeper, Mr. E. Palmer. It was decided to hold the first run along the Mangakahia road to the Ngapuhi station road, and back, a distance of about six and a-quarter miles. Eleven riding members (eight senior and three junior members) rolled up for the opening run on Wednesday. The seniors were sent away in pairs, whilst the three juniors had a race : they put up the best performance: all finishing within 4os. The winner. D. C. Mac Lean, took 22m. and was followed by S. Pausina. 22m o7 2-.js. and C. Ilenton. 22m 44 2-os. The fastest time of rhe seniors was pur up by 1.. Roberts, in 21m 40s, next being J. Eisenhur. 2:im 3os.
