Monckton, presiding over a large attendance. The church wardens' report showed that the attendances for the year had increased by over 4000, and the communicants by over 1200, as compared with the previous year, the main increase being at the Milford end of the parish, where Canon Young had done most excellent work. Reference was made to the missionary work of the parish, and to the fact that during the last three years the Missionary Service League had raised £345 for the endowment and support of a bed at the C.M.S. Hospital at Kerman, in Persia. The duplex envelope system had been started, and was proving a great success, and appreciative reference was made to the help given by Sister Julia in organising this work. Votes of thanks were passed to helpers in the different parish organisations, including the choir, the Sunday school, the Missionary Service League, the Bible Classes, the Ladies' Guild and the Boys' Club. Special mention was made of the very valuable help given by the Rev. O. R Hewlett in the work of the parish. A resolution of sympathy with the family of the late Geoffrey Shaw who was accidentally drowned on the eve of Anzac Day, was carried, all standing.
