INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
FIFTEEN FRESH CASES. TYPHOID SUSPECTS AT ROTORUA. Sixteen cases of infectious diseases were reported to the Auckland Health Office this morning. They included cases of dysentery, scarlet fever, diphtheria and typhoid fever. The typhoid cases, which number five, are in the Rotorua district, there being one positive case and four suspects under observation in the King George Hospital. Five cases of dysentery were reported., from Newmarket, One Tree Hill, To Kowhai, Te Puke and Ohinepanea. Three cases of scarlet fever were reported, from Otahuhu, Ponsonby and Mount Albert. Diphtheria, which is on the wane, was reported from ,the city, Glen Eden and Otorolianga.
