LADIES' HOCKEY.

ENTRY OF FIFTEEN TEAMS. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE DECISIONS. At the first meeting of the season of the Auckland Ladies' Association Executive, Miss P.TI. Dawson presiding, fifteen entries were received from nine clubs. The senior teams graded were Arawa, Mount Eden, Somerville, Wesley and Y.W.C.A. It was decided to divide the junior grade into two divisions ,the A section teams being Mount Eden, Papakura, Papatoetoe, Technical A and Y.W.C.A. Teams in B sfection arc, Papatoetoe B, Technical B,: Somerville, Wesley and Manurewa. Three rounds of matches will be played in each year. Application for affiliation from ten collegiate teams was deferred. Affiliation was granted to the following sub-associations: — Franklin, Hauraki Plains, Northern Wairoa, Piako; Waihi, Waipa and Whangarei. Delegates were appointed as follows :—Franklin, deferred ; Northern Wairoa, Miss Klenner: Plains, Miss H. Harris; Piako, Miss Meelian; Waipa, Miss A. Twiname; Whangarei, Miss G. Lowe. Rotorua notified that th«ymvere affiliating direct with the New Zealand Association with a vieW to trying to secure the annual tournament at Rotorua in 1029. The -committee decided to open the series of blackboard lectures on May 9, and members expressed a hope that lecturers of the Hockey Referees' Association could be induced to give leqtures to the lady players.
