TOWN BOARD MEETS.
PAPATOETOE REQUIREMENTS.', The Papatoetoe Town Board met on Tuesday evening Mr. T. R. Smytheman presiding. ; It was decided. to invite a- conference of League and Rugby 'football organisations to discuss ' provision of playing areas. It was reported by the foreman of the Works Committee' that the foundation of the newly-completed bitumen on Buckland Road was- in an unsatisfactory condition. With a view to having the new portion of the road tile-drainfed, it was decided to (confer witik the Manukau County Council. The formation of a footpath.'from the school grounds to the Great South Road, asked for by the school committee, is to be proceeded with immediately. , The board decided to combine hvith the Papatoetoe Chamber of Commerce in the ■matter of a tree-planting scheme. -
