MOTORING ACCIDENT.
LORRY AND TAXI COLLIDE. ONE MAN SEVERELY INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, Wednesday. A motor lorry driven by Mr. Henry Neill, carrier, and a large seven-seater sedan car driven by Mr. Herman Pickard, taxi-proprietor, collided on the Awakino Bridge to-day. Mr. Neill sustained severe injuries to his head through being struck by splintered glass from the windscreen, but Mr. Pickard escaped injury. The Awakino Bridge is at the Dargaville borough boundary. It was raining very heavily at the time of the collision. The foreparts of both vehicles were considerably damaged. Both were practically new, and the sedan, valued at about £700, was not insured.
