Larry Gain?, the Canadian negro | heavy-weight boxing champion, out- ' classed George Cook, the Australian, in a 10-round contest an<l won comfortably. Gains weighed IS!)Ub and Cook 10411b. The negro led in the t'uvt round, pounding the Australian to the ropes with blows to the heaii. The second was even. Gains again came to the fure in the I third with hard lefts to the body. Cook was mi-sing. Cook continued to miss in rhe fourth j round, but landed several stiff punches to the head and drew blood from hir opponents in*-e. The round was even. Both men fought furiously and gave and took punishment in the fifth, hut I the Canadian led. The negro had the Australian dizzy in the .sixth under a' terrilic attack. He won the round by I a wide margin. The seventh round found Cook's nose | bleeding and his opponent making a target of it. The Australian seemed to be content to hold on. Jt was Gain's round.
