TRANSPORT MINISTRY.

The scope of the administration of the ):?partment of Transport was outlined o-day hy the Minister in charge, Hon. V. A. Veiteh.
lie stated that the Cabinet had decided that the Department should administer the following Acts and regulations:— I Motor Vehicles Act, 1924, and regulations thereunder; Motor Omnibus Traffic Act, 1920, and regulations thereunder; Lights 011 Vehicles Act, 1925,; sections !;>;> to ];>9 and 104 to 106 of the Public Works Act. 1928, dealing with motor lorry regulations and amendments: Auckland Transport Hoard Act. 1928; Motor Spirits Taxation Act, 1927, and amendments and regulations thereunder; Motor Vehicles Insurance (third party risks) Act, 1928.
