Pounds) for the purpose of: — (1) Repaying to the General Account I moneys paid out of the said account for compensation moneys and other expenses in connection with the taki ing of Lands under The Public Works Act. 190 S. for (a) Street j Widening Purposes (Victoria Rd.), j and <lo extending the recreation rej serve known as Cheltenham Beach. Subject to the following conditions sanctioned by the Local Government Loans Board :— (a) The term for which the Loan Is borrowed shall be 36J (thirty-six and a half) years. i.b) The rate of interest in respect of the said shall not exceed to 10/ (Ftp Pounds Ten Shillings) per centum per annum. (c) The Council shall, before borrowing the said sum. make provision for the repayment thereof by e-tabli-hing a sinking fund of not l"»s than £1 iOne Pound) per rent per annum calculated on the amount raised. (d) No portion of interest or sinking fund shall lie paid out of loan moneys. RAISING LOAN, ETC 235 £ 15.000 The 11.r.i1 sum proposed to be borrowed is- £ I.7mmin of a loan to be known as the W'aipareira Riding Loan ( H<2ol. at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 1" ' per centum per annum. The term for which £ 10.S0O, proposed to be borrowed for the purpose of Main Highways reconstruction, is for a period of 15 years, with a sinking fund of not less than £ 4 32 6 per centum per annum. The term for which the sum of £4.200. proposed to be borrowed for the purpose of road works and by-roads, is 22J years, with a sinking fund of cot less than 2J per centum per annum. The proposed security for the loan is a special rate of five farthings in the pound on the ratable value of all ratable property in the Waipareira Riding of the County of Waitemata. a legal subdivision. It is proposed to pay out" of the loan the preliminary expenses in connection with the scheme for which the ioan is proposed to be raised, and also the cost of raising the loan, but not the interest and sinking fund for the first year of the ioan. A poll of the ratepayers of the said Waipareira Riding will be taken on the above proposal on the Sth day of May. 1929. between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., at the following places:—County Offices, corner Shortland and Princes Streets, Auckland; Foresters' Hall. Henderson; Knight's Hall, Henderson Valley; Public Hall, Swanson. The Counties Act now provide* that all ratepayers who have not paid their rates and penalties are debarred from voting. A. M.
