standing down. Of the old brigade there will be Davis, Hanlon, and Wheaton in the backs, and Colebrook, .Tonkinson, Dixon and Jones in the forwards. The return of Telford, one of the maroons' star forwards two seasons ago. from Sydney, is hailed with delight. Telford is a fine stamp of forward, who learnt his football with Richmond, and made a name for himself while playing for the Glebe seniors across the Tasman. Other welcome additions to the team will be Harris (a Buller rep forward), Joe Hamilton (a North Auckland Rugby rep, who played league for the first time last year) and Hyland (formerly captain of the senior team, and a man who can give a good account of himself in any position in the backs. Young Mincham. who graduated from the juniors late last year, will become a permanent fixture on the wing, as far as can lie foreseen, and a successful career apppcars to be ahead of him.
