WAIKATO NOTES.
Miss Lancaster, of Wellington, has been staying in Raglan. Mrs. A. A Woodward has returned to Hamilton after being away motoring in Tauranga and Whakatane. Mrs. E. Hall and Miss • Hall, of Palmerston Street, have been staying in Rotorua. Mrs. Leslie Nell, of Mount Somers, Wellington, has been staying with friends in Tauranga. Mrs. A. F. P leming, of Otorohanga, is staying with friends at Takapuna Beach. Miss E. Vereker Bindon has returned to Foxton from a holiday spent with relatives m Hamilton. Mrs. H. Wilson, of Waingaro, is spending a holiday in Feilding. Mrs. 3y. Penney, of Taranaki, has been staving with friends at Paterangi. Mrs. J. Howitt, of Wellington, was in Hamilton during the week. Mrs. Hobbs, of Hawera, is staying with relatives in Hamilton. The Misses Hassell, of Timaru, are staying in Hamilton with Mrs. Garland. Mrs. E. P. Cowles, of Hamilton, is on a motor trip to Napier, Hastings, and Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Payne, of Kensington. London, are the guests of Mrs. W, H. Hume, "Trevellyn/* Hamilton. Miss O. Chapman, of Stratford, is on a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. Carthew, of New Plymouth, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. G. Crimp, Hamilton. Miss S. Mahony and Miss E. Mahony have returned to Epsom, after spending a holiday in Cambridge and Rotorua.
A "kitchen" evening was given in the Tauhei Hall on Wednesday for Miss Eileen Valentine. During supper Mr. P. Clark made a happy speech, and asked the guest of honour to accept the gifts with the best wishes of her friends. Mr. Fred Jack very suitably replied.
