NURSES DISMISSED.
AFTER FULL INQUIRY. nOAKD KNDOKSKS ACTION". (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON", this day. An inquiry was held yesterday by a • nniinittee of the Waikato Hospital Hoard into the dismissal of Nurses Madge Stronach amT Mona Elliott. Today the committee reported that there were present at the inquiry, in addition to the committee, the medical superintendent, Dr. M. M. Hockin. the matron, Miss A. G. Keddii*. and the secretary, Mr. E. G. Johnson. After hearing the evidence of Nurses Elliott and Stronach, Sister Frieker and Nurse Carter, it was resolved that the board endorse the lotion of the medical superintendent and the matron in asking Nurses Elliott and Stronach to hand in tlvair resignations, and place on record the appreciation of the straightforward manner in which N'urse Stronach gave evidence.
The full board to-day confirmed the report.
