ORAKEI GARDEN SUBURB.
One is at a loss to understand why Auckland City Council does not do something to the approaches oil each side of the old Orakei Bridge and the road leading i'rotn Road to this bridge. For the la t twelve months nothing has been done to this road the condition of which is worse than some of the worst roads in the back country. Yet a few days with grader and roller and a hundred yards of chips would make it a decent road. Great numbers of cars pass over this route every week and a great many more would go over it if the less-experienced drivers were not afraid of doing so, as this is the short route to Kohimarama and St. H-lier's, Bay.
