POWER BOARD NOTICES. JjIRANKLIX ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. NOTICE OF PROPOSED LOAN. In the matter of the Electric Power Boards Act, 1925, the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 19126, and Amendments and Regulations made thereunder respectively, notice is hereby given that the Franklin Electric Power Board proposes to raise a Special Loan. The purpose for which the Loan is required is for the supply and distribution of electric energy for the benetit of the constituent districts ni' Franklin County, Pukekohe Borough, Waiuku Town and Tuakau Town within |he Franklin Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act, 1925, and its Amendments and in particular, but without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers, to provide, erect and construct additions and extensions to the present system of electrical distribution and reticulation, to purchase plant, land, easements, general equipment and any existing electrical installations and plants, to erect generating stations, buildings and offices within or without such district as hereinbefore defined, and to make provision for financial assistance to consumers and for trading purposes as provided by the said Act. The sum proposed to be borrowed is Seventy-five thousand pounds (£75,000) to be raised pursuant to the consent of the Local Government Loans Board in the manner following:— (a) Twenty - five thousand pounds (£25,000) in such instalments as may be required. (b) Fifty thousand pounds (£50.000) only after resubmission to the Local Government Loans Board and with their approval. The proposed security for the payment of Interest, sinking fund and other charges on the said loan is a special rate of onesixth (l-6th) of a penny in the pound upon the ratable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all ratable property in the constituent districts of Franklin County, Pukekohe Borough, Waiuku Town and Tuakau Town within the Franklin Electric Power District. It is proposed to make such loan repayable in twenty-six (26) years, and also to make provision for a .sinking fund of Two pounds (£2) per centum per annum. It is Intended to pay out of the loan such costs, charges and expenses as may have been actually incurred In connection with the raising of such Loan. Pursuant to the consent of the Local Government Loans Board no interest or sinking fund payments will be made out of the loan and no additions or extensions to the Board's reticulation system will be undertaken unless a guaranteed revenue of sixteen and one-half (16J) per centum on the capital outlny Is obtainable.
