YEARLINGS ARRIVE.
PURCHASES AT SYDNEY.
TEX REACH AUCKLAND.
Ten vearlings purchased at the recent Sydney sales on behalf of Auckland and \Yaikato owners arrived by iLc Marania from Sydney this morning. Two came for the Hon. K. \Y. Alison, one lieing a bay gelding bv Limelight from True Maid, by True Blue from Pretty Maid. True Blue is by Hotchkis» from Rose of Wellington and Pretty • Maid is by The Officer from Xorsemaid. The other was a chestnut colt by Tarquin (son of Phalarisi *"rom Marcovara (by Marco from Vara, sister to Varco. sire of the dam of Limerick). A bay gelding by Flying King from Chatenay, by Trcdenuis. was also purchased by Mr. Alison, and will arrive later. Mr. I. C'aro purchased six lots, and they arc as follows: —Br f bv Kotowing —Lofona: cli « by The Fortune Hunter Lady Lind; lir f by Polycrates— Black Sea; ch ji by Eaton Lad—Sidorus: br c bv Beaufort—Lady Sindhia; and br £ by Australian Sun from Rosewell. Mr. -T. \\. Cathro secured a br g bv Hades—The Kettle, and a b g bv Sir Dighton—Patrine. All of Mr. I. taro's lots go to P. Brady at To TJana. l'our yearlings purchased >n account of I.
