WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

OSBORNE—COX.

I The wedding of Ann (Nancy) { Hovey, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. i F. J. Cox, of Auckland, and Mr. Edward I Caleb Osborne, of Auckland, was celej brated at St. Luke's Church, Morningside, i last evening. The Rev. Beck officiated. The bride's father gave her away. The wedding gown was of ivory ring velvet made on simple lines. On one side was a large velvet rose with large strands of ■ satin leaves. The tulle veil was held in I place by a coronet of orange blossoms, • and she carried a shower bouquet of I white cactus, dahlias and roses. Miss Lucy Ringrose was the bridesmaid, in a • gown of powder blue satin, with small flowers handworked on the skirt, and [ halo headdress of tulle, and silver leaves. She carried a bouquet of pink and blue flowers. The best man was Mr. Jatnes Osborne. The wedding supper was | served at John Buchanan's rooms, the [ tables being in blue and pink flowers, with a white wedding hell. ALLPORT—SPEAR. A charming bride was Blanche Olive, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Spear, of Otahuhu, when she was united in marriage to Archibald Roy, only son of Mrs. Allport, of Otahuhu. The service took place yesterday afternoon at the Baptist Church, Otahuhu. Beautiful bowls of Easter flowers were used for decorating the church. The Rev. Thomas Henry Eccersall, performed the ceremony, Mrs. Eccersall presiding at the organ. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Phillip Spear, and wore a gown of sunset silk crepe de chine, made in sweeping draperies, and forming the uneven hem line. A mushroom toned felt hat had an Oriental and gold ornament, and she carried an autumn toned shower bouquet. Miss Vera O'Connell was the bridesmaid, and wore a shot lime taffeta, with bodice and uneven hem of gold and lime shaded lace. The felt hat was of the same shades, and she carried a pink shower bouquet. Mr. Eric Chester was the bestinan. The bride's mother wore a black crepe fleuri, with satin coat, white fur cuffs and collar, and osprey hat. WISEMAN—POLLARD. A wedding of interest was celebrated last evening, when Dulcie, second daughter of Mr. H. Pollard, of Mount Eden, and Murray Howard, eldest sou of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wiseman, of Mount Eden, were married. The Rev. G. B. Hinton performed the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Olds. Entering the church on the arm of her father, the bride wore a circular panelled frilled frock of ivory georgette mounted on

Mechlin net. The bodice had a beauty ful cape collar of Honiton lace. The embroidered net veil was swathed over the head and formed a train, which was held in place by a strand of orange blossom, and she carried a large shower bouquet of white blooms. The two bridesmaids in attendance were the Misses Kewa and Kathleen Pollard. Their frocks were fashioned alike in georgette. The bodices were pin-tucked and slightly on uneven hem lines were the pussy willow net skirts. Tulle bandeaux with leaves were the headdresses, and autumntoned bouquets were carried. The former was in palm frost green, the latter in gold. The little flower girl, < Aven Pollard, wore frilled sea blue taffeta worked in small flowers, and carried a floral crook. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Clifford Wiseman and Mr. Gordon Pollard as groomsman. The reception was held at Lewis Eady's Hall, the bride's mother wearing an ensemble suit of black georgette and lace and black embroidered velvet hat. Mrs. F. Wiseman, bridegroom's mother, wore oyster grey beaded georgette with hat to tone and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. Mrs. John Buchanan wore black Chenille georgette trimmed with diamante.

CARTER—PEARCE. There was a pretty wedding at St. Mark's Church. Remuera, last evening, when Vera Rose, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Pearce, of Remuera, became the bride of Arthur James, second son of Mr. Charles Carter, of Matamata. The Rev. G. Cruickshank performed the ceremony, and Mr. Pascoe was the organist. Entering the church with her father, the bride'g pearl tinted Chantilly lace frock was worn over flesh pink georgette. Slight draperies were used at each side, with trail of orange blossom on the shoulder. Round the head was a beautiful piece of Honiton lace, the tulle veil being fastened to the back, and forming a long train, with clusters of orange blossom being placed at each ear. The shower bouquet was of white carnations and pink lilies. The bride's sisters, Misses Mavis and Edna Pearce, followed. The former was in a tulle frilled frock, with clusters of roses and gold lame bow 3 strewn on the skirt, glistening gold lace formed the bodice, and edged the many uneven frills. The frock was mounted on jade green crepe de chine. A green tulle picture hat had gold bands and roses under the brim. Fragrant violets and roses formed the bouquet. The latter was in apricot crepe flueri, the bodice being veiled in gold lace, and the skirt having numerous handkerchief drapes of tulle, piped in gold threadAn apricot tulle hat had gold trimmings and a mauve and fresh violet bouquet was carried. Mr. Howard Young was best man, and Mr. Laurence Loe was groomsman. The wedding reception was held at Ridings Road, Remuera, the tables being arranged with crystal bowls of violets and pink carnations, with maidenhair fern.
