BOUGHT A STOLEN CYCLE.
DEALER REFUSED COMPENSATION. (By Telegraph.—Pres9 Association.) HASTINGS, this day. An unusual case was heard in the Magistrate's Court, when his Worship "was asked to make an order determining the ownership of a cycle. A bank clerk left the machine in a right-of-way, .md it was stolen. The thief sold the bicycle to a second-hand dealer, who paid £2 for it, and wished compensation for ihie amount. The magistrate made an order that the cycle be returned to its tine owner, •nd said that the second-hand dealer ■would have to put the £2 to profit and loss.
