EGG-LAYING.
AUCKLAND POULTRYKEEPERS. CONTEST RESULTS 47TH WEEK. The forty-seventh week of the Auckland Poultrykeepers' Association's egglaying contest ended on Sunday. Since last report four more ducks have joined the ranks of the 300 " eggers," L. Ayling's No. 4. 300 egga> and M. G. Leech's No. 1, 300, No. 3, 303, and No. 4, 303, all of which are Khaki Campbells. The White Indian Runners will add a couple more to the list next week, and before this contest ends the total number of birds over 300 eggs will constitute a record. Results like these may be achieved only by rigorous culling and breeding from 'strong - constitutioned, single-tested stock. The following are the leading birds and teams to date, the figures in parentheses being the weekly totals, and the last set the team aggregates: —
