TAURANGA.

On Tuesday pupils from (lie Tauranga District High School went through swimming tests for certificates issued by the Education Department. On Friday' next school swimming and other aquatic sports will be held from the town wliarf. Stock continues to be railed from the Hay of Plenty in large numbers, full stock trains being the rule.

Mr. T.. Maekie presided at the monthly meeting of the Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday evening. A letter was read from the Borough Council in regard to electric power stoppages.
