ARATAPU IN KABAMEA RIVER
POSITION" NOT DANGEROUS

New* was received ill Westport this 'morning that the auxiliary schoonei Aratapu is ashore at Karamea. She i> » vessel of OS tons. The Aratapu hail completed loading timber before she went aground in the river near the bar. Her position is considered less dangerous than it might have been, and an effort will be made to refloat her on to-night'a tide.
The Aratapu is owned by the Waitara Shipping Company, Ltd., having been registered at Nelson in 1920.
