MINING.
WAIHI CRUSHING RETURNS. The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Goldmining Company:— For the period ended February 9, comprising 29 crushing days, 21,485 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 7230 fine ounces of gold and 34,998 fine ounces of silver. This includes 1156 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, yielding 573 ounces of gold, and 13,039 ounces of silver. No. 9 Level.—Regina lode: At 148 ft east the drive has connected with Martha lode. No. 10 Lovel.—Regina lode: Driving west the next 48ft assays 51/3 per ton.
