AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. PROPOSED WELLINGTON MATCH. ALLEGATION OF BAD LANGUAGE. The weekly meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association Management Committee was held last evening, Mr. E. E. Nalder presiding. Discussion took place concerning a complaint by the Parnell Club of bfid language used on the field at Eden Park by a member of a fourth grade team. The committee decided to request the chief officers of* the club concerned to attend the next meeting, and the chairman thanked Mr. \V. J. Dennison, of the Parnell Club, for bringing the matter up. During discussion on the proposal to send a representative team to Wellington at Easter, the chairman said that Mills, Allcott, Rowntree, Bowley, Postles, Player and Dunning were not available for the trip. Mr. N. C. Snedden again stressed the value the trip would be to any promising young players included in the team. It was decided to request the selectors to ascertain by Saturday next whether a suitable team would be available. The committee also decided to negotiate for the payment of all expenses of both teain s prior to the equal division of the net proceeds of the match.

Advice that the Secondary Schools Association had passed a resolution to the effect that no secondary school player be permited to play in the grade competitions on Saturdays without permission of the headmasters, excepting during the Christmas and New Yeai" holidays, wa s given by Mr. J. \V. Bennett. The committee decided to support the resolution. A grant of on e guinea was made to the Girls' Cricket Association. Mr. E. C. Bealc was given permission to include E. H. Bowley in his team to play the Rodney Association at Warkworth to-morrow.

AN APPEAL FOR FUNDS.

ENGAGEMENT OF COACH

Members of the Auckland City and Suburban Cricket Association's Management Committee met last evening 'Mr J. F. W. Dicksdn presiding. In reporting that the funds for the engagement df the coach had. fallen below expectations, the coach committee BUggested that all clubs should be urgently requested to contribute towards the deficiency. "Every cliib member is in duty bound to assist the association, as the guarantors cannot be expected to bear the full responsibility," commented the chairman ih mentioning that it was now proposed to organise a committee to raise funds for next season. Mr. E. Stallworthy also appealed to the clubs to assist the parent body. Str. W. Dewar, representing' the Northern Boxing Association, said hie association was always willing to assist kindred sports and he was sure it would be prepared to help in raising money for the coach fuhd. The question of Mr. ti. R. Cox's re-en-gagement for next seaeon was held over until a later date. Permission to play matches against Franklin, Waitikii and Piikekohe was granted the Harbour Board Glub.
