TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Blenheim Oil shaies had a smart recovery at the opening call to-day, following upon the news that oil had flowed from the bore tor ten minutes at the rate of 700 gallons. Buyers offered £2 10/ as against 20/ yesterday, and 10/ the day before. The seller, however, asked £5 o/. Quotations were the same at the noon call. At the aftenoon tall yesterday Wilsons Oment shares sold at £2 0/7M>, and for Mount Lyells £2 2.6 was paid. Business was also done in Kauri Timber at 17/6. Farmers" Co-operative (A preference) at 18/, and Ohinemmi Mines at 8/4.

Auckland Gas contributing issue had sales this morning at 18,', which was the price paid before payment of the dividend. The paid issue were wanted at £1 4/. but sellers asked another 7d. Business was recorded in Westport Coal at £1 12'3 a slight advance, and buyers of Hikurarigi A preterence shares offered 4' but sellers still asked 18 6. The A preference lamu was offered at •Vβ, but buyers only quoted 2,0. Lnion Oil rirrned to buyers at £*, and inquiry was made for Perdriau Rubber, 10, paid, at £1 3/6. Electrolytic Zine preference issue had sales at £1 17/6, and a number of transactions took place in Waihi shares at 13/10 and 13/9. Mount Lyell shares had sales at the noon call at £2 2/9.
