THE MURIWAI MEETING. A.V ENTRY FROM MELBOURNE. Another overseas competitor, this time from Melbourne, is to take part in the motor races at Mnriwai Beach on March ft. Yesterday a cable was received in Auckland to enter a 33 h.p. Bollot for the championship events. With the supercharged Bugatti eight and other machines from Sydney there should tertainly be some excitement and thrills. It. looks as if the New Zealand competitors will have to "step on it" unless they are prepared to sec the big money leave the Dominion.
One of the original conditions of the ladies' race was that no male passenger should be carried, but at a recent meetJug of the committee this was deleted under the new clause, and lady competitors may now carry a male partner if thev care to do so.
With the certainty of big entries in the Australasian beach championship, the prize money has been added to, and the £75 first prize has been lifted to fsr>.
