TWO DROWNED.

Lorry Washed Away In

Flooded Creek.

APPREHENSION IN N.S.W.

SYDNEY, February 15

Two Syrian hawkers were drowned to-day. They were crossing a swollen creek near Port Macquarie on the north coast in a motor lorry, which was washed away.

The body of Mr. Coulton, who was drowned earlier in the week was recovered to-dav.

A recurrence of heavy rain on the north coast is again causing apprehension in the maize-growing districts. The upper Hunter River was 6in above its normal level yesterday. It is still raining and south coast towns are now experiencing floods.

Rain is also penetrating the wheat belts. Advice has been received of floods in Gippsland.
