FIERCE FIGHTING.
Jalalabad In Ruins; 800 Killed Or Injured. TRIBESMEN IN REVOLT. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) ißecclved 11.30 a.m.) DJJLHI, February 14. The forces of AH Ahmed Jau, who was proclaimed ruler at Jalalabad, were defeated by the Khugiani and Shinwari tribesmen, who looted the camp of rifles, . ammunition and money. They reduced Jalalabad to ruins and sacked Jagdalak. There was heavy fighting at Jalalabad. The fort magazine was exploded and 800 wore killed or injured. Ahmed fled. It is' generally thought that Amanullah will not attempt to regain the throne.

Forty-three more persons were evacuated to-day from Kabul to Peshawar in four Victoria aeroplanes. They included British, Indians, Germans, Turks and Persians.
