RUGBY, February 14.

It was stated at Bognor this morning that the King had a good night and his condition continues to be satisfactory.

The ray treatment, which was applied yesterday by Drs. Howitt and Woods, is a luminous ray or artificial sunlight. The treatment was decided' upon recently and was applied for the first time yesterday.

Although there were to-day several degrees of frost at Bognor the mist had dropped and the eun shone brilliantly. Members of the Royal household state that the change of scene has already done His Majesty good. He is, however, still very weak and members of his suite trouble him only with matters of first importance, while sustained conversations are avoided.

It was officially stated at Craigwell House in the evening that the King had spent a fair day. Although the weather remained cold there were several hours of sunshine and for the first time since his arrival there the King sat in a chair at the open windows of his bedroom.

The Queen this afternoon drove to Goodwood Park and walked in the woods.

' The King's suite at Buckingham Palace is being redecorated during His Majesty's stay at Bognor. The bedroom and dressing room are being papered in cheerful yellow, says the "Daily Sketch," and the adjoining study in light green. Vita-glass is being fitted in all the windows to enable the King to continue to gain the full benefit of sunshine when he returns to London.
