Parcels are held for an advance of 3d. and trading is slow. Liverpool futures: March, 9/3 per cental; May, 9/5%: July, 9/7%. The spot trade is quietly firm. Australian, ex ship, 49/. Flour is firm. SYDNEY, February 14. At the Sydney wool ealee to-day there was strong general competition. All medium to good wools ruled firm. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London offir-c under date 13th instant:— Tallow: There is a fair demand. Current Quotations: Good mutton, 44/, good beef, 41/6 to 42,', good mixed. 41/ to 41/6 per cwt. Gut: 35/6 to 37,6.
MELBOURNE HIDES MARKET. MELBOURNE, February 14. The Melbourne hides market to-day was irregilkr. Stoutg were unchanged. Llgiit* t-nd mediume were one farthing lower ond inferiors one halfpenny lower. STOCKS OF STORED EGGS. According to the Abstract of Statistic* there were stored in the Dominion on December 31, e0,418 dozen eggs in shell, 948,4811b of egg pulp, 15821b of frozen whites, and 8001b of egg yolk.
