COLLAPSED IN STREET.

While walking in King Edward Parade, Devonport, about eight o'clock last evening, a well-known resident of the Shore, Mr. Thomas Harkins, of Mays Street, collapsed and died. Mr. Harkins, who was 62 years of age. had been in indifferent health for some time. He leaves a family of two sons and one daughter. A brother, the late Mr. William Harkins, was a president of the Auckland Workingmen's Club. The funeral took place to-day.
