The Waikato Hospital Hoard to-day gave a complimentary luncheon to Dr. (J. W. (tower, who for the ]iast, nine years has been surgeon superintendent of the Waikato Hospital, but who rermtlv relinquished the position to ent >r private practice. Dr. flower was pi'esentcd with a silver tea service as a mark of the board's esteem. Many complimentary speeches were made, for which Dr. Gower returned thanks.
