HAMILTON CHARGES.
LIQUOR SUPPLIED TO YOUTH,
HINDU FRUITERER STRUCK,

HAMILTON, Wednesday.
•Tames Carson, head barman of the Commercial Hotel, was fined 20/ and costs in the Police Court to-day for supplying liquor to a youth who was under age. The defence claimed that the youth served looked older.
Charged with assaulting Dalya Lala, a Hindu fruiterer, Harry Hyde was fined 20/ and costs. According to the police the defendant dined at a restaurant in Commerce Street, Frankton, then took fruit from the Hindu's stall, and when payment was demanded he struck Lala heavily on the face. Accused showed signs of over indulgence in liquor. The magistrate remarked that this seemed to be accused's trouble.
A charge of theft of goods valued at 30/, the property of V. W. Venimore, was preferred against William C. Green, who was remanded for a week.
