BOWLING.

INTERHOUSE TOURNEY. PASCOE CUP COMPETITION. The Pascoe Cup tournament, which is to be played at the lighted courts at Clive Road, starting on Tuesday evening next and continuing for five nights, is creating a lot of interest among the staffs of the mercantile houses of Auckland. Started a few years ago by means of interhouse challenge matches, it has now grown into a contest in which, this year, nineteen teams from the mercantile offices, warehouses, and retail houses will compete. Opportunity i s being taken of the facilities at the Clive Road courts to combine ping-pong and dancing, thus making a complete evening's amufement for the spectators. A handsome cup, which has been presented by Mr. James Pascoe, is the prize to be competed for. This is at present held by last year's winners, the Auckland Savings Bank. The enthusiasm which has entered into interhouse competition has now obtained a firm hold on the Pascoe Cup night tennis competition, and the committee in charge anticipate a large attendance to witness the house teams matched in friendly rivalry.
