Southland batted first and scored ISO (Cherry 33, Tapley 16 Lynch 37, McGowan 10, Diack 13, Keast Nisbet 12). Eastman took fire wickets for 60 runs, and Shepherd four for 17. Otago has lost five wickets for 265 (Strang 30, H. C. Alloo 59. Eastman 27, Monk 71 not out, Galland 36). STRAND-MAJESTIC THEATRES V. FIRE BRIGADE.
