CULLING NEAR WELLINGTON.
IMPROVEMENT IN HEADS,

WELLINGTON, this day,
Accrding to the secretary of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, between l.), 000 and 10,000 deer have been culled from herds in tls Wellington district during the past "five years, and as a refmlt the heads are improving every year. The society is still expending about £100 a year in supplying ammunition to farmers, who undertake to cull on lands which are overstocked with red 1 ueer. i
