OFFICERS ELECTED,
At the annual meeting of the How ick Public Library, the following officers were elected:--President: Mr. W. Groon; vice-presidents, Mr. H. Beckett and the Rev. T. Scott; council, Messrs. Church, .fudkins. Gaudy, K.vtl and Ntegall, Mcsdaines Mason and Boyce, Misses Waiili, I'etrie, Kathbonc and Jay; selection committee, Messrs. Stenall, Bates and Miss Petrie; secretary, Mr. K. B. Bates; treasurer, Mr. G. A. Xewton.
The financial statement showed a credit balance of £43 18/8. A total of 2861 books are at present in circulation.
