OBITUARY.
MR. THOMAS MILROY
At the age of 7ti year*. Mr. Tii-.mias Milroy died yesterday at his residence. Windmill Koad. Mount Eden. Although born in Scotland. Mr. Milroy spent his boyhood, in Ireland, and came to Otago when in thp early twenties. He joined the railway service soon after reaching New Zealand, and spent the greater part of his life in Otago. He was a member of the first executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, and for a term was president. Mr. Milroy was also, for a time a member of the Appeal Board. He retired in 1913, and two years later came to Auckland to spend the evening of his life. He was a prominent member of the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church, and also a member of the local bowling club. His health had been failing during the last year, and his death occurred in his sleep. He is survived by Mrs. Milroy. one son (Dr. T. A. Milroy. of HaTniltoni and three daughters (Mrs. Ciordon Fraser of New Plymouth, Mrs. James Wilson of Timaru. and Mrs. T. O. Pater son of this city). The interment was private.
MR. GEORGE WALLACE. Mr. fJeorjre Wallace, who died suddenly at Big Omaha on Sunday, was for many years foreman of the Devonport lias Work*, anri was wel!-'<no\vn throughout tlie borough. He wa« a manager of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. When he retired from active work about three year? ago .he went to live at Big Omaha with a member (if his family, parrying into liis. retirement the goodwill of all will. whom he had come in contact during his business life.
