NOT GUILTY.

ACQUITTED OF MURDER. (Received 1 p.m.) BRISBANE, this day. Thomas Chrystal was found not guilty of the wilful murder of his soilin -law, Richard Devers, at Woody Point.

Accused stated that Derers threatened to blow up witness and his house.

Richard Devers. aged 33. was shot at the j:ate of his father-in-law's residence at Woody Point on January 14. The father-in-law was arrested and charged with the murder. Devers' wife had gone to licr father's house, and Devers followed. During an argument a gun was produced, and it was alleged that both men struggled for possession of the weapon. An explosion followed, and Devers fell to the ground shot in the neck. It was stated that deceased told friends that he expected trouble when lie reached the house.
