DEFEAT OF AUSTRALIANS

SAN FRANCISCO, February 11

In a polo match at Delmonte, California, yesterday, in the Pacific Coast championship tournament, the Midwick (California) team defeated the AustralianHawaiian team (Pearson. Baldwin, Skene. Beveridge), by 11 goal? to 10, in

one of the hardest fought polo games ever seen here.

The Australian combination gave a great battle, and displayed better team work, except in the eighth and extra chukkers.
