LONDON, Februarv 7
F. E. Woolley, writing in the "Dailv Chronicle," says: Without question we have fallen in a batting sense at Adelaide. It remains to be seen whether our bowlers can save the Old Countrv. I feel that the task is not bevond Australia. He recalls the seven davs' play in 1925, which left the Adelaide pitch' unaffected. He says it i= very perplexin.:: to try and give adequate reason? f"f| England's collapse. He commends the/ patience of Hammond and Jardine. but j asks: Is this terrific patience justifiable.': Australian critics who voiced their disapproval should remember that England: is playing their own game under the i conditions they imposed.
